I believe in less is more, a clear and simple design that is easy to understand but still has that little extra to improve the user's experience.
Branding & identity
For me, branding and identity are about recognition and symbolization. What the brand symbolizes and how it can be reflected in the visual identity through recognition.
Graphic design & illustration
This is the icing on the cake. Communicating a visual message through color and shape, preferably with a touch of humor, is undoubtedly one of the best things I know.
